Here is some useful information about the inn which should help
answer most frequently asked questions by guests. If you do not
see what you need here, just contact us.
Arrival and departure
Accommodation is normally available from 2 pm on the day of arrival.
If guests arrive prior to this time they are welcome to relax in
the lounge or bar until their room becomes available. Departing
guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 11 am, however they
are welcome to use the public areas after this time.
Late arrival
Unless guests notify reception of late arrival, we reserve the right
to relet the rooms after 7 pm
Children
Children of all ages are welcome. Lovely family rooms are available.
Charges, when sharing with parents

5<11 50% of adult rate B &B - other meals charged as taken
12<15 75% of adult rate B & B - - other meals charged as
taken
Cots and high chairs are available. We do not have baby listening
facilities.
Cot charge £5 per night for under 3’s.
Car parking
Free, onsite, lit car parking for up to 20 cars
Car hire
We can arrange car hire from all Scottish airports, and locally
from Ayr and Prestwick Airport – contact us
Dietary requirements
We cater for just about any special diets, but advance notice is
preferred. Vegetarian options are available at all times in our
lounges and restaurant
Please advise the inn of any specific dietary requirements when
making your reservation
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome at a cost of £5 per night and
may be permitted in certain public areas of the hotel. Please advise
at time of booking if you wish your dog to stay. Can they please
bring their own bedding.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the inn other than in the
bar and lounge.
Gratuities
You may reward good service at your discretion
Mobile phones
Guests are advised not to use mobile phones in public areas.
Laundry
We provide a same day in-house laundry service (excludes dry cleaning)
– tariffs are displayed in the rooms
Payment
All major credit cards are accepted. Personal cheques are accepted
subject to approval. All cheques require to be accompanied by a
valid bank card. We are happy to arrange account facilities for
corporate customers
Special occasions – if you’re celebrating one during
your stay....we can make it memorable....
Champagne, chocolates, flowers, roses, a Scottish piper, a serenade!!
Some rooms have king sized and four poster beds. Celebration cakes,
gourmet packed lunches. Scottish, continental or champagne breakfast
in bed by arrangement.
Medical and dental
24 local doctor/medical service available nearby. Dentist within
5 miles.
Disabled
Ramp accessible front door. Easy access to public areas. All bedrooms
are on the first floor.
Packed and picnic meals
Packed lunch menus are available – must be ordered by 20.00
the previous evening. ‘Gourmet’ packed lunches with
champagne, smoked salmon &c are also available – perfect
for country sportsmen and ‘away days’.

Can be stored in our safe at reception

Internet access and email facilities are available by arrangement
What is and is not included in price
All quoted prices are inclusive of VAT at the ruling rate. There
is no service charge. Gratuities are at the customers’ discretion

activities on the local estates and surrounding countryside, rivers,

How to get here
From Ayr take the B743 Mauchline road for 4 miles through Mossblown
then turn right onto the B730 and we are 2 miles along this road
on the left. Watch out for the little Stair Bridge which is the
‘gateway’ to the inn.
Or from the A70 Ayr to Cumnock road take the B730 and we are 2
miles on the right. |
